The first three words to the Constitution of the United States of America. They mean that we the People are supposed to be in charge. Why is it that People in Washington think it is their job to rule over us? They are supposed to lead us, not rule over us.

 

Let us look at the Preamble to the Constitution.  

We the People of the United States in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

 

We the people need to exercise our rights under the Constitution, most important is the right to vote before we lose them. To do that we must learn what the Constitution says for ourselves. Not what some politician, judge, or a government bureaucrat tells us it says. I would urge every person who reads this blog to get a copy of the Constitution and decide for themselves what it says. our public schools used to teach the  Constitution, but not anymore.

Most people in Washington ignore this document because it is incompatible with their philosophy that everything should be controlled at the Federal level. I will let the reader decide which elected officials are the biggest supporters of this philosophy.

The reason for this blog is to tell you what I get out of the Constitution. Thankfully, the Founders wrote it in Plain English so that anyone who can read and understand the English language can read the Constitution, and make up their own mind about what it says.
